A reed bed provides a positive influence on your direct environment. Whether the demand comes from the government or your own beliefs, a reed bed is certainly an added value. 

On average, our water comsumption is very high. That is to say that our sewage system needs to take in a lot of water. A reed bed shares a dual role: water purification and absorption. 

Today in our region we find a large proportion of used untreated water flowing into our waterways. Sewers and water purifcation treatment plants are built quickly. Though this is not feasible everywhere. However, you can contribute by placing your own reed bed and help to purify your waste/sewage water. 

Due to asphalt and the paving of many roads, water has less chance to permeate into the soil. An abundant rainfall can more easily lead to flooding. By placing a reed bed, the flow of water is slowed. Furthermore, a reed bed is not only useful, but it is also very aesthetic.
